I am unable to post into my original thread, so I am re-opening this one.
Today, I finally got my final conformation and answer to the original question about whether the amount of gold given is in any relation to strength of the enemy.
The answer is NO, regretfully.
I had two recent encounters against the Barbarian's Castle. First one gave 1099 gold, while the other one was about to drop less, 1060 gold. Despite the fact that the second encounter would give me less money, it was much harder to beat (actually it was a loss).
2nd battle in relation to the first battle:
Barbarian Hero attributes were the same
composition of troops and initial set-up was exactly the same
troop numbers were at cca. 190% strength
castle was much stronger
First battle was an easy win, second one was an convincing defeat. | | Not surprising, but thanks for confirming this regardless. |
